What Mompreneurs can learn from a Professional Athlete’s regimen

From one tired Mompreneur to another…
.
I’m finally out of the weeds of my business so I hopped on IG Live yesterday to share the steps I took to get out of it.
.

.

AHA:

I started thinking about professional athletes + their schedules.. what they all do for optimal success…

.

… Then I realized what a great parallel that is for us mompreneurs (to lessen our mom guilt and give ourselves more grace to rest.)
.

.

New perspective on slowing down:

We all know the importance of sleep… and rest… and self-care… yada-yada-yada… That’s not new news right?

.

Here’s what’s actually helped me:

hearing that sleep, rest (and study time) are not only built into their schedules but Olympic athletes actually hire sleep coaches because that’s the millimeter difference to push them over the edge.

.

As an over-achiever… add that to my to do list!

.

If rest + my love for research are the things that’ll make the difference and allow me to actually reach my goals… I’ll happily make space for them without guilt or pushback. Because now I can see it’s just one of the essential gears necessary to run our present + productive businesses with ease.

.

So I shared a graphic I whipped up (my Present + Productive Pyramid) and the Google doc I use to get myself in order to help you hop on this bandwagon too. (You can check it out here)

.

All in all- this is your reminder to choose rest as the next task on your to do list instead of simply pushing through again (and it’s my reminder too!)

.

Did you find some sanity + relief in this comparison? Comment on the Live– I’d love to know!
